Overview

On this tour, you’ll travel to Cappadocia and spend there 2,5 amazing days by visiting the main attractions like the underground cities, rock churches in the valleys and what’s more! Also, you’ll definitely enjoy the incredible sky, covered with hot air balloons, and maybe will fly one, if you wish. After Cappadocia, you’ll fly to Izmir airport from where you’ll be transferred to Kusadasi for a night stay. The next day we’ll take you to the Ephesus tour: Artemis Temple, Ephesus Ancient City, Hadrian Temple, Celsus Library, House of Virgin Mary. If you are interested in history, this day could be special for you.
On the 5th day, we’ll visit Hierapolis Ancient City and Pamukkale – terraces of carbonate minerals with hot springs. Enjoy!

Itinerary

Day 1: Northern Cappadocia Tour

You’ll be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and transferred to the airport to take a flight to Cappadocia. After the arrival, our driver will meet you and transfer you to the bus, where you’ll join the rest of the group to join the Northern Cappadocia Tour. You’ll visit Goreme Village, the land of mysterious chimneys in the rocks and the biggest monastery complex in the region. Then, we'll head to Ortahisar castle and Pasabag, the valley with rocky chimneys famous for their unusual forms. We’ll pass through Devrent valley, where you’ll see the animals that are petrified in the rocks. Around 12 o’clock our group will have a lunch break in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll walk along the Red River and visit a small village Avanos well-known for its pots craft. If you wish, you can attend the pottery workshop there. At the end of the day, we’ll back to the hotel by passing through the Love Valley( the place with an incredible view).

Day 2: Southern Cappadocia Tour

This day is for Hot Air Balloon activity (please, mind that this is optional, so if you wish to fly, tell about that to your tour guide the day before). If you are not going to fly, but only to observe the remarkable sky, our guide will pick you up from hotel around 09:30 - 10:00 am and you’ll head to Southern Cappadocia. In our program: - Uchisar Castle which is one of the biggest fairy chimney used as a fortress by many civilizations. - Hiking in Red Valley (about 4 km.) and passing through Rose Valley by exploring the rock churches that saved early Christians from Roman prosecution. - Arriving to Cavusin village, which is known for its ancient settlement. Lunch break in a local restaurant in the midday. After the lunch, we’ll continue our trip in Kaymaklı Underground City, the widest one in Cappadocia. Previously it was used as a hideout by refugees and people running away from the catastrophes. Then, we’ll head to Pigeon Valley from where you can observe a nice view over Uchisar Castle and a dozen of pigeon houses. Our last visiting point for today is Three Beauties Valley famous for its wineries and amazing view. At the end of the day you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: From Cappadocia to Ephesus

After you have breakfast at the hotel, you’ll have free time to explore Cappadocia by yourself. We’ll pick you up from the hotel according to your flight time and transfer to airport. Now it’s time to go to Izmir. On your arrival to Izmir, you’ll be met by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Kusadasi. This day you’ll have a free and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ephesus Tour

Breakfast first, around 9.30 we’ll start our tour to Ephesus. What we’ll visit: Artemis Temple (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world), Ephesus Ancient City, Celcus Library, Hadrian Temple, Theater, Hamams and Old Harbor. Lunch in a local restaurant in the midday. At the end of the day we’ll visit the House of Virgin Mary, the place where she spent her last 5 years before her death. This house was recognized as a pilgrimage place by Vatican. Now it’s time to rest: transfer to the hotel, one more night in Kusadasi.

Day 5: Pamukkale Tour

Breakfast at the hotel, around 8 am you’ll meet the guide. Today we have Pamukkale-Hierapolis trip. Pamukkale (‘Cotton Castle’ in Turkish) is a hillside with white travertine cascades and terraces of shallow pools. This place is known for its hot springs and has been existing since ancient times. Don't worry you’ll have some time to have a bath. After Pamukkale, we’ll visit Hierapolis Ancient City, Unesco World Heritage Site. As an option, you can walk on terraces or swim in Cleopatra Swimming Pool. Midday, lunch break in a local restaurant. Our tour is almost finished! We’ll transfer you to the airport and you’ll return to Istanbul. On your arrival at the airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer to the hotel.

What do you mean by a “professional licensed tour guide”?
Taking a tour with the professional licensed guide is very important. Guides in Turkey study a mix of history, archaeology and mythology for 4 years in order to get their tour guiding license and pass special exams in language skills. All our company tour guides are professional licensed guides and expert in their regions. It is illegal for anyone who is not a licensed tour guide to conduct tours of historical sites in Turkey.
What kind of vehicle will be provided on my tour?
Our company provides you with a late model, comfortable, air conditioned vehicle such as a Mercedes Vito,Mercedes Sprinter,Volkswagen Carevalla and Crafter with an experienced driver.
Cancellation Policy?
No additional cancellation fees! You can cancel the tour up to 60 days prior to the departure date and you will not need to pay the full amount of $1300 for Gallipoli Battlefields Tour, but the deposit of $99 is non-refundable. If you cancel the standard cancellation policy applies.
