Binbirdirek, Sultanahmet Meydanı, Sultan Ahmet Parkı, Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey
This is a half day tour in which you will discover the legacy of a city that is surrounded by historic and cultural treasures as you ride on a bus and stop by to enjoy the best eateries and dine where the locals do.
Our staff will pick you from the hotel at around 08:00-8:30 am and transfer you to the meeting point. After you meet the other members of the group and your guide, we will start the bus tour at 09:00am.
We will start our tour by strolling through the City Walls built by Constantine. These walls are a series of defensive stone walls that have surrounded and protected the city of Constantinople (today Istanbul in Turkey) since its founding as the new capital of the Roman Empire.
We will pay an interior visit to Chora church. Since it stood outside of the city walls, the building was called “Chora”, which means “in the country” or “outside of the city” in Greek. It exhibits one of the marvelous masterpieces, finest mosaics and frescoes in the world.
After visiting the church we will head to Miniaturk open air museum which consists of 57 structures from Istanbul, 51 from Anatolia and 12 structures from the Ottoman territories that today lie outside of Turkey. It is one of the world's largest miniature park in respect to its model area. Miniaturk also boasts 40,000 sqm of open space, 3,500 sqm of covered area, 2,000 sqm of pools and waterways, and a parking lot with a capacity of 500 vehicles
Our tour will come to an end as we return to the port and drive you back to your hotel.
